Meet
Molly, our manager. Without Molly, we would not function nearly as smoothly
as we do. Always a high achiever and an independent thinker, Molly has
a rather unusual background. Graduating with honors from Michigan State
University with a degree in Psychology, Molly
turned her back on a promising career to move to the idyllic valley of
Halawa, on the small Hawaiian island of Molokai.
Here, she pursued a life of self-sufficiency, living
in a yurt she built for herself, installing her own plumbing, and giving
birth to and raising her two girls. Molly found this to be a very peaceful
way of life, which led her into a journey of self-discovery. From this
experience early in her adult life, Molly has committed herself to living
her life to her highest values.
In addition to these idyllic values and an easygoing
nature, Molly has practical experience growing a health food store from
its grass roots into a profitable and thriving business. Molly learned
through this experience how to live her life holistically. These qualities
and experiences are what make Molly the ideal person to manage the Springs
Bath House.
Molly was carefully chosen, and over time, she has
proven to be an excellent decision. I know you will enjoy meeting her
as she greets everyone with the spirit of aloha (Hawaiian for love).
Mele-Ann
Rae-Bruhjell, one of our outstanding massage therapists, was born on the
remote tropical island of Moloka'i in Hawaii. She was raised by parents
who were both actively involved in the bodyworking-alternative health
industry. Mele-Ann is what we call a "natural" and is excellent
at all that she does.

Upon graduation from high school she attended the Connecticut Center of
Massage Therapy for nearly two years. Only 300 hours short of her 1500
hour certification, the jets hit the Twin Towers (just 50 miles away from
Mele-Ann) and she retreated for home and family. She then transferred
credits to the Springs Bath House School of Massage Therapy in time to
join the 2002 class for her advanced training in Neuromuscular Therapy.
More than one client has come out of her room saying "I have traveled
the world receiving massages everywhere. I never imagined I would come
to Hot Springs, South Dakota for the best massage ever." Look for
Mele-Ann flying on Springs Bath House billboards, brochures, and posters.
| Irene
Wells, a massage therapist who joined us in the spring of 2006, has
had international training. She has spent time in Singapore, Australia,
and other countries training in massage methods such as hot stone
therapy and deep tissue. She excels in both modalities, and has a
knack for knowing right where you need work. A generous soul, she
cares extremely for the well-being of her clients, and amazes everyone
around her with her generosity. |
